Who is Brighton Photography?
I’m Brighton Mbilinyi, the creative behind Brighton Photography. I’m a freelance photographer living and working on Vancouver Island with a professional photography studio currently based in Nanaimo, the harbor city of this island’s beautiful west coast.
Where it all Started…
I found my passion for photography during my time working in the Tanzanian wildlife conservation sector. This is when I realized how substantially the imaginative visionary realm of photography enriches the stories we share to the world regarding those magnificent creatures. Ever since, I have not put my camera down aspiring for my work to advance to the forefront of excellence. My passion for photography has motivated me to always persist in learning and improving, allowing me to become the dynamic professional photographer I am today.

I take satisfaction in the work I produce, with over 10 years of experience under my belt a unique background and comprehensive set of technical skills I’m able to bring imagination into reality, and authentically capture the personality and sentiment of my clients. Over the years I have received countless referrals, allowing for an immense amount of growth and providing me with the opportunity to expand my photography and videography services to Vancouver Island. I work both in natural and studio light settings, though where ever the setting may be I also work to connect with my clients.
